Ushba is one of the most attractive mountains for climbers, located in the Svaneti region.
Due to its steepness and unstable weather, Mount Ushba is considered as the most difficult ascent in the Caucasus. There are two summits – the South Peak (4710m) and the North Peak (4690m). The North one is a bit easier route in comparing with the South one.

Better to visit season for Ushba starts from July and lasts until the end of September (depending on the weather and snow conditions). 

Day 1  Arrival to Kutaisi and transfer to Mestia

Meeting in Tbilisi or Kutaisi Airport – transfer to Mestia (approx. 5 from Kutaisi and 8 hours of driving from Tbilisi).
You will have lunch on the way.
Overnight and dinner in the hotel in Mestia.

Day 2  Mestia – Mazari – Shdugra Waterfall - Basecamp
Breakfast at the hotel, drive to Mazari village (approx. 30 minutes). There the most part of the luggage will be packed on horses and transported directly to Shdugra waterfall. After 6-7 hours, we’ll reach the first basecamp at an elevation of 3800m above sea level.

Overnight and dinner at Camp 1

Day 3  Basecamp 1 – Basecamp 2

On the 3^rd day we’ll hike from Camp 1 to Camp 2, Lower Plato at an altitude of 4100m.

Day 4  Basecamp 2  – North Ushba – Basecamp 2

We wake up at 3 am. After having breakfast, we will begin our ascent to the summit of Noth Ushba at 4690m. Then we descend to Camp 2.

Day 5  Reserve Day

It will be used as an extra day in case of bad weather conditions, or someone hasn’t acclimatized well yet.
Day 6  Basecamp 2 – Mazari - Mestia

After having breakfast, we descend from Camp 2 to the village Mazari and then we transfer you to Mestia.

Overnight and dinner in Mestia (in the hotel).

Day 7  Free day in Mestia

A free day in Mestia to go around sightseeing and have a city tour. 

Day 8  Departure

Departure from Mestia to Kutaisi (or Tbilisi upon request).
